The Department of Dentistry at Denver Health is recruiting for a Pediatric Dentist to join our Community Health Center team and Pediatric Dental Residency. The selected dental provider will provide pediatric dental care at our Wellington Webb Pediatric Dental Clinic and 1-2 days per week practice at one of our community health clinics in Denver, CO. The Dentistry Division at Denver Health consists of 4 full time pediatric dentists, 10 intermittent pediatric dentists, 12 general dentists, 3 oral surgeons, 10 GPR residents, 11 OMFS non-categorical interns/residents, 4 pediatric dental interns, 8 pediatric dental residents, 17 dental hygienists and a full complement of outstanding support staff. Denver Health’s dental team is part of a fully integrated network of 10 community health centers, 19 school-based clinics, and a Level I 525-licensed bed hospital with a mission of providing access to quality preventive, acute, and chronic health care for all citizens of Denver, regardless of ability to pay. Pediatric Dental services are provided at six of our clinic sites in the Denver Metro Area. Denver Health is affiliated with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and serves as a training site for CU Dental students and Denver Health Dental and Oral Surgery residents.
The successful candidate will provide preventative, urgent and comprehensive dental care for our pediatric dental patients including but not limited to fillings, crowns, extractions, etc. Responsibilities will also include supervision of dental students and instruction/supervision of pediatric and GPR residents. One year of experience is preferred but not required.
