My name is Dr. Bruce Cochrane. I trained in the 70’s and I have a certificate in both periodontics and fixed prosthetics. I practice in northwest Iowa and I am sneaking up on 70. I have reached the point where I would like to sell my practice and retire or even work with an associate for a period of time until they were comfortable enough to buy the practice. I am wondering if you have any graduate students interested in practicing in the upper Midwest. Last year my practice grossed approximately 1.8 million. Seventy percent of that gross was implant related, twenty percent was hygiene maintenance related and ten percent was periodontics. The periodontics was predominantly soft tissue surgeries. I am the only periodontist in my region of the state so I cover an area that is approximately 100 miles in any direction. My referral base is approximately 320,000. I have about seventy dentist who refer to me on a regular basis. I live in a town of about 28,000 and I satellite into two different communities of about 15,000.
